I saw this thread on the sign in page and thought I'd join this tribe and respond.

You moderate the tribe right? I had some I didnt want anymore and attempted several times to do it the way the tribe rules state you should do it. But for whatever reasons these requests werent responded to for months. So finally I just renamed the tribe to something random like FT1 Tribe and then unjoined. If there were a few members and the tribe was inactive I just kicked everyone off the tribe before I changed the name and then I unjoined it myself. There are probably about 65 phantom tribes that exist like that now because of me. I figure if someone eventually gets around to it they can delete the tribe. Also before deleting it I deleted all the threads and pictures so there is absolutely no content on the tribe whatsoever. Just FT1 Tribe.

Other people and myself have also had trouble attempting to designate moderators. Our requests go unanswered. Darren said a couple weeks ago he had to get Wendy to show him how to do it then he would. I'm not sure if it's the same Wendy that moderates this tribe or not. If so, Elfie and the active members of the nine inch nails tribe want him to be moderator of that tribe and I have requested about 6 times in the last couple months to be designated moderator of the I HEART DOCUMENTARIES tribe. Please help. Thank you.

Also, I have a tribe invite that someone sent me to one of my own tribes that's stuck on my main page. So I thought I'd be cute and invite the person that sent it to me an invite to one of his own tribes and that is stuck on his main page now too. lol

Oh now I see this is Wendy that works for Tribes tribe. : ) Cool.

I should write an automated housekeeping task to do this sort of thing.
