What DOES this mean ?

You often see "This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded" yet responses seem to be threaded...

What does the "This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded" mean ????

    Every time somone responds to a post, it's indented a bit, allowing you to follow who's talking in which thread. But after a thread gets so many responses, it would take up too much screen space to keep indenting, so you get a message saying essentially "Enough. It's up to you to figure out who's responding to whom."
